About Sasha Benz

From her early days as a freelance fashion stylist to being a Creative Director at a trendy hotel to becoming a CEO of a lifestyle blog and a digital business card app, you could say Sasha Benz , Owner of Wyld Blue + Wyld Black knows a thing or two about being a successful businesswoman.

The Sydney native began her career as a freelance fashion stylist where she regularly contributed work for renowned fashion magazines like Vanity Fair, Vogue Australia, and Harper’s Bazaar Australia. Her clientele included celebrities such as Cate Blanchett, Kylie Minogue, Ruby Rose, Sara Sampaio, Michael Bublé, and David Cambell. She has also worked alongside photographers Annie Liebovitz on a cover shoot for Vanity Fair and Ellen Von Unworth at Vs. Magazine.

Soon after, Benz set out on her first major creative venture as founder and CEO. In 2014, she officially founded the lifestyle blog All My Friends Are Models which had offices in Los Angeles, New York, and Sydney. The blog immediately took off, becoming well-recognized in New York, and landed Benz a job offer as the Creative Director at the popular hotel for the music and fashion elite in Montauk, The Surf Lodge.

Sasha Benz’s job at the Surf Lodge was hard to describe, as she puts it. There, her role ranged day to day. One day she could be working with globally recognized artists. Other days she could be hosting between four to five events all while simultaneously reimagining the looks and design of the different spaces. But overall, her main focus was to create indelible experiences for people that come across the Surf Lodge.

At the same time as working as Creative Director, Benz decided to add another project to juggle: her Cinq app. Benz’s phone has always been full of a variety of contacts made throughout her career. As someone who meets people on a daily basis through different platforms like Instagram or over email, Benz knew she needed an app that would help her keep track of all her connections in an organized manner. Thus, Cinq was born, an app that streamlines the process of sharing contacts and organizing an address book.

And while each of these ventures have filled Benz’s calendar to the brim with meetings, hosting events, and meeting project deadlines, they certainly haven’t gotten in the way of being a mother to her three lovely children, Rhythm, Baybi, and Haze. In fact, she opened up two boutique stores in Montauk named after her two eldest children, Wyld Blue and its sister store, Wyld Black.

Sasha Benz’ success comes from her passion, drive, creativity, and enthusiasm she sets for each of her jobs. She has always strived to do more than her job requires and enjoys stepping out of her comfort zone to broaden what she’s capable of creating. She commits to every project she works on and supports every team she works with.

When she’s not busy with her various jobs, you can find Benz spending time at her home in Montauk with her husband Oliver and her three children.
